FAQ
- How do I calculate how many fence posts I need?
- Divide the fence run length by the post spacing and add one for the end post. Spacing depends on the system — around 2.4–2.5 m for palisade and timber, up to 3 m for diamond mesh. This calculator uses the right spacing per type.
- How much concrete do I need per fence post?
- Roughly 0.02–0.03 m³ per post — about one 25 kg bag each for a standard palisade or timber post. Deeper or larger posts need more.
- How far apart should fence posts be?
- Follow the panel or system spacing: ~2.5 m for palisade and Clearvu, 2.4 m for timber, and up to 3 m for diamond mesh strained wire.
- Does this include gates and labour?
- This estimates posts, panels, and concrete. Create a free BuilderBuddi account to build the full fencing estimate with gates, labour, and your margin.
